The Charlottesville Band


The Charlottesville Municipal Band has been a local institution since its inception in 1922. With their Centennial fast approaching, they wanted to refresh their brand to reflect how they’ve evolved and to better reach their community. We worked with them to change their name to The Charlottesville Band, or Cville Band for short, and create an updated logo, color palette and visual style. Once the branding was established, we took it into the real world with stickers, banners, new uniforms, a completely redesigned website, and a social media advertising campaign that boosted concert attendance and increased website traffic by six times over the previous year.

In 2022, we helped the Band celebrate their 100th anniversary all year long. We designed a Centennial logo, produced limited-edition merchandise, and promoted the historic 100th concert season through print and social media advertising. We also designed the label for the Band’s Centennial wine, the Spirit of ’22, made by DuCard Vineyards.

We are proud to collaborate with Cville Band to bring free musical entertainment to the entire Charlottesville and Central Virginia community.
